Among 118 applicants, Team Habitat, also known as Hille Melbye Arkitekter and Edit AS, has prequalified for the prestigious parallel assignment on Grønlikaia, the latest major urban development area in Bjørvika.
Grønlikaia is set to become a showcase for social and ecologically sustainable urban development – Oslo’s best neighborhood to live in. It is the last area of the Fjord City to be developed, with unique geographical qualities.
“We look forward to using our specialized expertise in urban and sustainable neighborhood development to propose qualities and functions that will set Grønlikaia apart from the other residential areas in the Fjord City. We are committed to making Lohavn a residential area without any drawbacks – accessible and open to all,” says architect Kaja Melbye.
The contribution will be developed in collaboration with Edit / Atelier, Hoi Oslo, MaterialMapper, Brekke & Strand, Itech AS, and VA Visjon for Hav Eiendom and Oslo Havn KF.
You will be able to see all competition entries at the Oslo Architecture Triennale this fall, where this year’s theme is “Mission Neighborhood.”
