The plot is located close to the train and bus terminal in the city, but on the side of the train tracks facing the main road and the entrance to the city. This area of Askim lacks established urban structure or historical buildings.
Our client has ambitious plans to establish a sustainable and vibrant district with new squares and connections, incorporating both commercial and residential buildings constructed with mass timber.
The challenge lies in accommodating a significant parking demand for commuters and visitors. The parking facility will be visible from the entrance to the city and could appear as a bleak backdrop if not addressed properly.
