Åssiden Church in Drammen is made of hand-molded bricks. The church appears as a unified yet dissolved form with round arches and an apse in the plan. With its distinctive cylindrical shapes in solid, red bricks, organized from the main entrance towards the choir with increasing height and decreasing width, the church stands out and serves as a powerful symbol that sets it apart from the surrounding buildings.
The interior features solid red and hard-fired brick walls, similar to the exterior. The ceiling is untreated pine, and the floor is polished concrete.
