The building has entrances and facades facing both Øvre and Nedre Vollgate. It consists of 7 continuous floors. The existing backyard was enclosed with a glass roof and now houses the current cafeteria. During the renovation, solid masonry facades were replaced with open glass surfaces combined with perforated fiber cement panels.
The building is owned by the property company Øvre Vollgate 6 AS. Bonnier Publishing is the main tenant.
With its location at the top of Kvadraturen, it is just a short walk to the vibrant city life, including Christiania Square right around the corner.
All technical installations were replaced, and the facades were redesigned with glass panels. The building is space-efficient, featuring large and bright floor spaces. With two entrances, the floors can be easily divided to meet the space needs of both large and small users. The building includes bicycle parking. The meeting place YOUNGS and the outward-facing design company Netlife currently occupy the interiors, but in a few years, it could be entirely different occupants.
