In collaboration with the architectural firm Nils Tveit, we designed a competition proposal for Stovner Bad, a community center, and nursing homes in Stovnerdumpa. The bathhouse included several pools, diving towers, and slides. All functions were designed and adapted to a challenging site with uneven terrain. A terraced square was established between the subway station in the east and Stovner Bad.
In accordance with the Detailed Plan for Outdoor Recreation Areas (VPOR), a broad axis was established through the project and the site. The community center was designed as taller volumes facing Stovner Sentrum. The bathhouse was nestled into the landscape and the slope towards the northeast, with entrances to all levels directly from the terrain. The nursing homes were placed in smaller and divided volumes in the northwest.
