Jernbaneveien

Following our success in a competition in 2022, we have been working on a residential project located at Jernbaneveien 11, aiming to contribute to urban housing development in the center of Stabekk. We propose a building volume that follows the existing built structure and adapts to the scale and material use of the area.

The site covers 1.2 acres and is centrally located in Stabekk with easy access to the train station. In line with the central purpose outlined in the area regulation plan for Stabekk center, we propose the construction of a compact apartment building catering to various user groups. The new building is designed to be four stories high, with a volume, roof shape, and material usage that harmonizes with the surrounding existing buildings. The site is shielded from traffic noise, and combined with the building’s square footprint, this layout enables the establishment of 2-5 apartments per floor. The apartments will predominantly have outdoor space facing west, spread across two levels. The plan also includes the establishment of a smaller building for communal activities adjacent to the shared outdoor recreational area.
