The revitalization of Lambertseter center has resulted in a new building comprising a shopping center, parking garage, cinema, and library.
The facade of the new building consists of light-colored screen bricks, both as a solid facade and as a louvered wall around the parking garage. The facade of the new library is made of structural glazing.
A portion of the existing shopping center was renovated and connected to the new section via “shopping streets” with skylights. The existing Symra cinema was converted into two cinema halls. Additionally, a new access to the subway was established with new ramps and a bridge over the track area.
Low energy consumption is achieved through various means, including control systems, utilization of daylight, efficient use of space, and effective thermal insulation.
The project received the “Building of the Year” award from the construction industry in 2010.
