On the corner of Ullevålsveien / Kirkeveien, we have designed a residential complex with 79 apartments over commercial spaces on the ground floor and underground parking. Shared outdoor areas are located in a sheltered backyard and on the rooftop terrace. The building consists of 7 floors, with the top floor set back in all directions. The apartments are arranged around 4 stairwells with entrances from the street and the backyard. The floor plan is consistent from the 2nd to the 6th floor, while the 7th floor features larger apartments with spacious rooftop terraces. The majority of the apartments are dual aspect and have at least one bedroom on the quiet side. Small apartments are oriented towards the quiet side/backyard.
The building’s design is inspired by the many functionalist gems along Kirkeveien leading down to Frogner Plass. The building will feature brick and glass on the ground floor, while the residential floors will have a plastered finish.
The building has been applied for under TEK17 regulations. Hille Melbye Architects has been the planning architect and responsible for SØK and PRO Architecture Planning in construction class 3.
